work abroad pinoys

Pinoy job seekers, the job market has never been more positive for you!
There are now more than ever, great opportunities for pinoy job-seekers abroad.
Here you will find links to job opportunities not posted in the usual websites. Finding a good job abroad sometimes requires a lot of reseach - as most of the time the job posters will post on the internet search and not on a traditional website .

Speaking of traditional - it would be goood advice to seek jobs in the entertainment / hospitality industry -for example, there are many small hotels in london (called botique hotels) that hire filipinos and go out of thier way to help them get permits and so on. Spain, Eastern Europe ( where filipino bartenders are in demand) , the baltic states like riga, and latvia are experiencing a tpurism boom they need filipinos to service thier english speaking clients. Russia's new oil-boom is also another promising job sector for pinoys.

Construction workers needed in london

The construction industry in London is booming and the trend is expected to continue in the years to come with an estimated 11 percent increase per year. There are big projects underway such as the the M25 widening, new airport work at Heathrow, and rail projects such as Thameslink and (eventually) Crossrail. Furthermore, the Olympics to be held on 2012 and the Thames Gateway redevelopment would create more construction projects as well

However, construction companies like the of Morgan Est Rail are expressing concern over the lack of skilled workers that will make the roster of projects possible. The wonderful plans to just can’t be realized with the reality of labour shortage. Presently, there is a deficit of 3,000 trained rail engineers and managers a year. They need to recruit workers from others lands to fill various positions in the construction industry. The company Morgan Est, has been actively searching for possible employees in Asia.

The managing director of Morgan Est Rail, Dany Duggan said, “I can tell you that every client I speak to and all of us on the contracting side are fishing in the same pool with not a lot of resources. All our growth depends on recruiting and retaining the workforce overseas.”

Try Your Luck In Kuwait

A thriving oil industry has secured for the State of Kuwait [also known as Dawlat al Kuwait] an edge in world industry. Its small, open, and prosperous economy has also enabled it to welcome the active participation of foreign workers in its labor force. Of its 2,111,561 population as of July 2002, 1,159,913 are non-nationals, and most of these non-nationals are actually workers there. So if you are thinking of becoming one of those non-Kuwaiti workers, you will find this article useful.
Government
Kuwait has a constitutional monarchy, where the Amir [or prince] exercises his power with the guidance of the Council of Ministers. The Council, usually referred to as ‘the government’, is headed by a Prime Minister [appointed by the Amir].

Its judicial system is based on the Egyptian model; it is an amalgam of Islamic law, English common law, and the Ottoman civil code. Male citizens 21 years and older are allowed to vote, and to avoid political conflicts, neither judges, nor the uniformed services (i.e. police and military personnel) vote.
Society

Although the Kuwaiti population is diverse, people there are generally known to be generous and hospitable. The fundamental core of society is the family. Kuwaitis keep very close family ties, both in the immediate and extended sense. Large weddings are a common tradition, where the men and women gather separately, and the women's reception usually lasts through breakfast. This all-night celebration of the matrimony of two people, of the coming together of two families, demonstrates the importance of the idea of family in Kuwaiti society.

Job Ops For Pinoys part 1

First World Countries like the United States of America (USA) and United Kingdom (UK) are both experiencing labor shortages in several industries, particularly in the field of information technology. To solve the employment problem, the two countries are eyeing to recruit workers overseas.

Both USA and UK acknowledge the fact that they need the help of people from other countries to maintain their buoyant economy. The leading company in business intelligence software and services, SAS which employs more than 10,000 employees worldwide, has prioritized increasing their manpower from other countries over the US applicants.

Goodnight said that the IT industry is crying out for reforms in immigration laws and added that SAS has slowed its hiring in the US in favor of growing its teams in other countries where he believes there is a rich pool of talent.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of software giant SAS, Jim Goodnight, said, “The UK and US governments must open their borders to skilled overseas IT workers in order to remain competitive and foster a culture of innovation.”

The CEO also expresses the need to amend current immigration laws that makes it difficult for people of other nationalities to gain employment in USA and UK. He said, “The industry is screaming for help in this area. In the US we are not producing enough skills in science and math and yet we're not allowed to bring in more than 65,000 people each year who have those skills."
